Introduction Clip
Founder: Claudia Yao

As a mother of two boys, Claudia began exploring Scratch with her children to nurture their computational thinking from a young age. Through this journey, she identified a significant gap in the market: the lack of high-quality, affordable, and systematic coding programs tailored for children. Motivated by this need, she founded theCodingFun—a platform dedicated to delivering engaging and structured coding education to students in Singapore and beyond.
Claudia brings a strong blend of technical expertise and educational passion:
- Master of Computing in Artificial Intelligence, National University of Singapore (NUS)
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with a thesis on Memory-Alloy Robotics (2003)
- Silver Award Winner at the International ASME Student Competition (2002)
- 10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance Management at Autodesk
- MBA from the University of Manchester, graduated with Distinction
With this solid technical and managerial background, Claudia is dedicated to creating a learning environment that is both fun and future-ready for young coders.
